Our Story

Be the Light of SWFL has long been a vision of Henry deMena and his wife Dorine. With backgrounds in grief counseling and public health along with their community involvement, they saw a need in Collier County to help bring services to those in need of not only food, shelter and clothing but to help those suffering from the loss of a friend or loved one, a job or even their home. There is so much help out there that many just are not aware of. It is Henry and Dorine’s hope that Be the Light of SWFL can not only educate our community about those in need but to direct the less fortunate towards the many agencies where they can find the help that they so desperately need.
